I have been using Foto Filer now for 4 months and I love it. I used to have such a hassle changing the names and filing my pictures in windows that I just lost interest in doing it at all. Since I have been using Foto Filer, all that has changed. Now I download my pictures, then I start by assigning them sequential numbers using the auto assign feature. Then I use the slide show feature to see which pictures I want to save and those I want to toss out. I then mark all the garbage shots and move all those to a trash can folder. Then I go through the remaining pictures and just type in a name that describes the picture. I just finished using it to rename about 3000 pictures that I have been collecting on my PC. Now I am really organized! The other thing I like about Foto Filer is that the developers keep improving it. Since I bought it, I have received two upgrades for nothing. The latest upgrade includes a neat feature that lets me move a bunch of pictures to a special folder with one press of the command button. I wish I had this when I was renaming all those pictures because it would have made the job even easier than it was. Anyhow, I really like this software, and I don't usually recommend software to others but I would this one. At least give it a try.
