Sinner Computing programs

XorIt 1.032
Most file encryptors use methods that rely on the theory of computational security, that is difficulty of key factorisation prevents decryption of the file. But this method may not work forever. XorIt is designed to use conventional XOR encryption on keys that are the same size as the file to be encrypted.

TomeBase 1.1
TomeBase is a book and movie database. It supports search and sorting operations, exporting to CSV file format, and there are 19 different data fields. It requires approximately 70KB of hard drive space...

QWave 1.502
This program is a compact alternative to much larger Audio File player. It allows a audio file (including MP3s) to be played virtually instantly as opposed to waiting for a larger program to load, display an window, and then play the sound. Auto registering is supported, as well as early sound termination for larger files. QWave is less than 50Kb when installed and is written in Assembly Language for maximum efficiency.

Slam 1.2
This assembly language program provides the ability to perform any shutdown operation via the command line. Slam can easily shutdown, restart, log off, power-down, suspend or hibernate your computer. Slam can also be used to remotely shutdown other computers, and for shutting down windows automatically at a set time using Windows built in Scheduler. Force can be used to closed crashed programs, plus delayed and warned shutdowns are supported.

CryptIt 1.301
Most file encryptors use methods that rely on the theory of computational security, that is difficulty of key factorisation prevents decryption of the file. But this method may not work forever. CryptIt is designed to use conventional XOR encryption on keys that are the same size as the file to be encrypted. CryptIt also has a ability to use removable media (USB drives, CDs, floppies) as a key code book.

Ute 1.05
Ute is a compact assembly language utility with Time Syncing, Window Shutdown control, Wave File playing, Delayed / Controlled Running and JPEG/GIF/BMP Wallpaper Changing capabilities. It is a collection of some Sinner Computing utilities (iTimeSync, Slam and QWave.) with two new functions are also added. (Run and Wallpaper.) It is optimised for Command Line Control but the Wallpaper Changer and iTimeSync can also be operated in window mode.

Egg 1.512
Looking for a program to measure how much time you spend on jobs, time chess games, or to prevent you freezing soft-drink cans? Egg is an easy to use timer that can do these tasks and more! It can count up and down, is settable by second divisions from 3 seconds up to 49 days, and can display up to four timers at once with custom settings for each, and your common times are settable with only two clicks from a selection of 12 customizable times.

CPU 1.001
CPU is a Cost Per Unit calculator to assist in deciding what product and packet size is the best value for money. The window stays on top and there are two independent calculations shown to make comparing prices easier. It is written in Assembly Language for maximum efficency.

SmEdit 1.17
SmEdit is a compact text editor that packs far more features than its size suggests. Due to its highly configurable design, it can be as basic or as featured as you want. This makes SmEdit an extremely quick loading and flexible editor for most tasks. All Sinner Computing software, including SmEdit, was developed using SmEdit. Features include auto selection of font, text colour, background colour and word wrap based on the files extension.

Chop 1.511
This Assembly Language program is for splitting large files for easier distribution. Using either a normal window or a wizard interface, files can be split by either the number of files that you want, the maximum file size, or you can use preset common sizes for EMailing, floppies, Zips, CDs, etc... The program supports file time and attributes preserving, CRC, BAT file unchopping, command line operation and even simple encryption.

CPUSpy 1.044
CPUSpy tests your processor and using an internal database of most common CPUs, displays CPUID data such as cache details, processor features and processor name (if supported) in a easy to read tabbed format. CPUSpy can also measure your current CPU speed in MHz, Windows Up-Time, IP address, Window Version, plus drive and memory status. In addition, CPUSpy has a cache speed test and all data can be saved in a HTML report file.

Break 1.25
Break is designed to help you work more effectively by recording your work times and reminding you with sound and/or a message when you have been working for too long. Work can be divided into five different categories, with maximum work capping for each category. It maintains a running total to show you how long you are on your computer, and what you do most on it. In addition, Break totalises time at work, on break and away from the computer.

jFolder 1.104
Want to make your folders and drives stand out for easier identification? Customize their icons then! This program allows Windows 2000 and Windows XP users to customise the appearance of icons for drives (Win2K only) and folders. You can choose the icon and tool tip of any folder, giving the same effect (if desired) of system folders like the recycle bin or "My Documents". jFolder is written in Assembly Language for maximum efficiency.

JukeBx 1.3
Playlists are a useful way to organize your digital music... if you have only a few hundred songs. Once you have thousands of songs, it becomes a chore to modify playlists to suit changing tastes / moods. Also, playlists become completely impractical when you have to suit the musical tastes of various household members. JukeBx changes this. It creates playlists as it plays that it creates based on how you, and nine other users, rate the song.

TwinSeek 1.1
With today's huge hard drives it becomes easy to accumulate large collections of media files. This becomes a problem when you realize that your collection of 5000 files is full of duplicates... TwinSeek however will speed sorting significantly by comparing all the files in a directory, and will then show what ones are 95% similar. TwinSeek can also used to provide a detailed comparison of the differences between two files.

Volt 1.3
Leaving your computer on all the time is one way to have your computer ready for you whenever you need it, but it is not the smart way. The smart way is for the computer to turn on before you want it so it can download EMail, news and updates. The smart way is for the computer to turn off automatically if you are not using it, and turn on again later. Volt can do this and more, including all forms of shutdown, command line operation and logging.

iTimeSync synchronizes your computer clock with an Internet time server giving time generally synchronized by the harmonics of an atom (thus called an Atomic Clock.) You can set up to five different time servers, which can be automatically checked in. It can also be set to auto-start in a non-windowed mode. Also a positive or negative time offset can be set if you like you clock to be fast or slow...
